The region

The village Jokijärvi belongs to the municipality of Taivalkoski and is situated directly south of the polar circle, near Kuusamo. One of the most beautiful regions in the northeast of Finland. Massive arctic forests with pine, spruces and birches alternate with swamps, lakes and river landscapes.

Saija is situated 80 km. (1,5 hours drive) from Kuusamo Airport and 170 km. (3 hours drive) form Oulu Airport.
